Kangana Ranaut donates Rs 10 lakhs for Covid-19 relief
Kollywood celebrities have been providing financial assistance to FEFSI workers, who have been jobless for the last one month due to the lockdown. Kangana Ranaut, who is making her Tamil debut with ‘Thalaivi’ has donated Rs 5 lakhs to the FEFSI workers and another Rs 5 lakhs to the crew members of her film.
‘Thalaivi’ directed by AL Vijay is the biopic of former Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa. The film will be centered around Jayalalithaa’s rise from a South Indian actor to one of the most powerful political leaders in the country. Kangana is playing Jayalalithaa’s part and the actress has been putting in great efforts to play the character. She got herself trained in classical dancing, Tamil pronunciation and also put on weight.
‘Thalaivi’ scripted by ‘Baahubali’ writer KV Vijayendra Prasad and Rajat Arora is being made as a bilingual in Tamil and Hindi. The makers had announced that the film would be hitting screens worldwide on June 26, 2020 but going by the current situation, it seems highly unlikely.
