Karnan: Rajisha Vijayan undergoes a remarkable makeover for her debut Tamil film

As reported by us earlier, Malayali actress Rajisha Vijayan is making her Tamil debut with ‘Karnan’ that has Dhanush in the lead. Mari Selvaraj, who made an highly impressive debut with ‘Pariyerum Perumal’, is directing this film. Recently, a few location stills of ‘Karnan’ were shared by the makers. Rajisha has undergone an impressive transformation for the film as she looks absolutely convincing as a village belle with a deglam look. It seems like the actress has shed a few kilos to achieve a normal rural girl’s look.

‘Karnan’ was recently in the news after certain caste outfits in Tamil Nadu had demanded a ban on the film accusing that it was based on some real life incidents that would hurt their sentiments. However, director Mari Selvaraj has confirmed that the film is not based on any particular incident but is a work of fiction that is inspired from many real life events.

Along with Dhanush and Rajisha, the cast of ‘Karnan’ also includes Lal, Lakshmipriya Chandramouli, Azhagar Perumal, Natty aka Natarajan Subramanian, Gouri Kishan and Yogi Babu. DOP Theni Eswar and composer Santhosh Narayanan are part or the technical crew. Kalipuli S Thanu is producing the film under the banner of V Creations.
