Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Films and Originals to debut in Malayalam with Attention Please

Tamil filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj’s production banner Stone Bench Films and Originals got launched in Malayalam recently. Karthik’s close friend, filmmaker Alphonse Puthren was the chief guest at the launch event held in Kochi. The banner’s maiden Malayalam film is ‘Attention Please’, written and directed by Jithin Issace Thomas. It was earlier selected for official screening at the 25th International Film Festival of Kerala and 18th Chennai International Film Festival.

‘Attention Please’ addresses caste discrimination through the story of an aspiring script writer who narrates his plots over booze to his four flatmates. Vishnu Govind, Anand Manmadhan, and Athira Kallingal, Sreejith B, Jobin Paul and Jicky Paul play the main roles. The film is set to hit screens this Friday (August 26). It is also likely to have its digital release on Netflix later.
