Kayamkulam Kochunni shoot stalled!
Kayamkulam Kochunni is a among the most awaited movies of the year. Nivin Pauly is playing the titular role while superstar Mohanlal will also be seen in a brief but a very prominent role. The team have been shooting in Manglaore and Uduppi for sometime now. In an unfortunate turn of events, shoot for the movie has been stalled after director Rosshan Andrewss suffered an injury. Details regarding when the shoot will be resuming is not yet known.
Kayamkulam Kochunni, scripted by Bobby-Sanjay is based on the famous highwayman Kochunni, who was active in the 19th century in Travanore. Mohanlal is playing the role of Ithikara Pakki in the movie. Pakki was the first legendary Robin Hood of Kerala and he and Kochunni were contemporaries.
The combination scenes between Nivin Pauly’s Kochunni and Mohanlal’s Pakki will undoubtedly be the movie’s major highlight. Mohanlal will be part of the upcoming schedules in Mangalore, Goa and Sri Lanka. He is expected to join the team by the end of this month or early February. Sunny Wayne, Babu Antony, Priya Anand, Priyanka Thimmesh, Thesni Khan and many others are also part of the supporting cast.
Kayamkulam Kochunni also has an ensemble technical crew which includes Bollywood cinematographer Binod Pradhan, National award winning sound designer PM Satheesh and Firefly Creative Studio, who handled the VFX in films like Baahubali and Enthiran. Gopi Sunder is in charge of the music department. Gokulam Gopalan of Sri Gokulam Films is producing this big budget movie.
