Keerthy Suresh starrer Penguin gears up for release; Teaser to be out soon

It is already known that Keerthy Suresh’s ‘Penguin’ will have a direct OTT release. Amazon Prime had bagged the streaming rights and the film is slated to premiere on June 19. Meanwhile, the makers have announced that teaser will be out on June 8. ‘Penguin’ is the second mainstream Tamil film after ‘Ponmagal Vandhaal’ to get a direct OTT release. The Jyothika starrer got released last week and met with decent response from the viewers.

‘Penguin’ is written and directed by debutant Eshvar Karthic. It is produced by Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Films and has music by Santhosh Narayanan. The film has Keerthy playing a pregnant woman’s role. This will be her first solo-lead film to be released after winning the National Award for Best Actress last year. The ‘Mahanati’ star also a handful of promising projects like ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’, ‘Miss India’, ‘Annatthe’, ‘Good luck Sakhi’, and ‘Range De’ coming up.
