Lal not very keen to act in Tamil movies
Veteran actor Lal is someone who has made his mark for himself in thr Tamil film industry He has starred in several Kollywood movies, mostly in villainous roles. His villain role in Lingusamy’s Sandakozhi was much appreciated by the audience.
However, Lal is not very keen on taking up Tamil movies, especially antagonist roles who most often gets beaten to the pulp by the heroes. Lingusamy is now trying to rope in Lal to play the continuation of his villain character in the sequel to Sandakozhi. The actor might commit to movie as the director has promised that his character does not have any action scenes. Lal admits that acting in Tamil movies can earn more money but he is now giving more importance to his own satisfaction.
The actor was last seen in Fukri, directed by Siddique that had Jayasurya in the lead role. Of late he has been m getting some solid roles in Malayalam movies. Honey Bee 2: Celebrations, directed by his son Jean Paul Lal will be his next release. Lal has pinned hopes on this movie as he has a well fleshed out character to perform. Asif Ali, Bhavana, Baburaj Sreenath Bhasi and Balu Vargehes are also reprising their characters from the first part.
Lal is also playing a prominent role in debutant Althaf’s movie, Njandukalude Naatil Oridavela which has Nivin Pauly in the lead role. He will be seen as Nivin Pauly and Srinda Arhaan’s father in this family entertainer.
