Last film of director Rajesh Pillai and actor Jishnu : Hindi version of Traffic got released today
Traffic was one of the best films released in Mollywood and we can say that it is a film that changed the mindset of film lovers here in Kerala and also influenced the mind of film Makers. The so called new generation trend had started from the success of that movie.
Late Rajesh Pillai had directed it and it was his first success after a disastrous debut with the film Hridayathil Sookshikkan. Traffic happened to be his last release as well as the Hindi version of the film directed by him had released today. Rajesh Pillai passed away 2 months before due to liver failure and just a day after his last Malayalam release named Vettah. The Hindi Version of the film is happened to be the last film of actor Jishnu as well who passed away last month due to cancer.
Jishnu Raghavan played a key role in the Hindi version of traffic. The film took 3 years to complete and faced so many barriers before its release. The Hindi version has actors like Manoj Vajpayee, Jimmi Shergil, Prasonjit Chaterji, Vishal Singh etc who played the characters played by Sreenivasan, Anoop Menon, Rahman and Vineeth Sreenivasan in the Malayalam version.
Suresh Nair was written the film in Hindi and Santhosh Thundiyil was the DOP of the film. Rajesh Dhar had produced the film in Hindi and Fox Star studios distributed it. It was a dream of Rajesh Pillai to remake Traffic in Hindi and his dream realized now as the film got released today.
