Malayali: Shaan Rahman to compose for Sathyan Anthikad’s next with Fahadh Faasil
As reported by us earlier, the evergreen combo of Sathyan Anthikad and Sreenivasan are making after sixteen long years. Their upcoming movie titled as ‘Malayali’ has the extremely talented Fahadh Faasil in the lead role. Sethu Mannarkad of Full Moon Cinema will be producing the movie, which is set to go on floors from the first week of July.
From the title Malayali, we presume that the movie will be a typical Sreenivasan style satire that discusses about the socio-political issues that an average Malayali is facing currently. In the technical crew, the makers have signed cinematographer S Kumar and music director Shaan Rahman.
Sathyan Anthikad has mostly worked with senior musicians like Ilayaraja and Vidyasagar. This is his first outing with a young composer like Shaan Rahman and it promises to be a refreshing change. Shaan is among the most wanted composers in Mollywood right now. Although Shaan has worked with directors like Ranjith and Lal Jose, most of his collaboration have been with young filmmakers.
Of late, some his tracks like ‘Jimikki Kammal’ (Velipadinte Pusthakam) and ‘Manikyamalaraya’ (Oru Adaar Love) have went on to become sensational hits. He has his kitty full with films like My Story, Chanakya Thantram, Love Action Drama, Aravindante Athidhikal, 9 etc coming up.
