Mamangam fame Prachi Tehlan to play a police officer in Mohanlal’s Ram?
Shoot for Mohanlal’s new film ‘Ram’ is currently progressing. According to director Jeethu Joseph, the film is an unusual mass entertainer; an action-thriller with a realistic touch. Trisha, Adil Hussain, Indrajith Sukumaran, Durga Krishna, Leona Lishoy, Chandhunath and many others are part of the cast. Latest to join the team is Prachi Tehlan of ‘Mamangam’ fame.
Prachi had recently visited the sets of ‘Ram’ and had even shared a photo taken with Mohanlal on her social media handle. Reportedly, she will be seen in a police officer’s role in the film. It is said that it was Mohanlal who suggested her for the role after watching ‘Mamangam’.
Prachi Tehlan, a North Indian by birth, is the former captain of the Indian national Netball Team which represented the country in the 2010 Commonwealth Games. She made her debut in Malayalam with ‘Mamangam’, in which she played a crucial role alongside Mammootty.
Meanwhile, ‘Ram’ team is working at a brisk pace. Touted to be a big budget action thriller, the film will be shot in foreign locations like Egypt, London and Istanbul. Ramesh R Pillai and Sudhan S Pillai are jointly producing it under the banner of Abhishek Films.
