Mamangam second poster to be released tomorrow!
Shoot for ‘Mamangam’ is nearing completion. Meanwhile, the makers have announced that the second poster will be out tomorrow (July 27) at 10 AM. Fans and common cinephiles will be eagerly waiting to see the new poster. Directed by M Padmakumar, the movie is shaping up as an action packed historical flick. Venu Kunnappilly of Kavya Films is producing the film.
‘Mamangam’ is a historic film with almost 80% of it being based on true events. It is based on the religious festival, Mamangam, that took place every twelve years in a place called Thirunavaya, on the banks of the Bharatapuzha, for over 280 years. The movie’s original director Sajeev Pillai penned the script after doing an extensive research for over twelve years. Shankar Ramakrishnan later adapted the screenplay.
Mammootty plays a ‘chaaver’ in the film. Unni Mukundan also plays a prominent character as Chandroth Panicker. Others in the cast include Kaniha, Anu Sithara, Prachi Tehlan, Siddique, Sudev Nair, Tarun Arora, Suresh Krishna, Mani Kuttan, Manikandan, Ineya and Sudheer. The movie also boasts of a strong technical crew comprising of State award winning cinematographer Manoj Pillai, veteran music director M Jayachandran and art director Mohandas. Bollywood based composer Sanchit Balhara handles the background score.
