Prithviraj and Mammootty to come together for Sachy’s next?

Unlike Bollywood, multistarrers are still a rarity in the South film industry. Of late, a positive change is there to be seen in Mollywood with stars shedding their egos and willing to come together for big-ticket films. The younger crop of actors like Dulquer Salmaan, Fahadh Faasil, Nivin Pauly, Tovino, Asif Ali, Prithviraj, Jayasurya etc have all been open to the idea of multistarrers, considering there is enough space for each actor to perform.

On similar lines, there are reports about a Prithviraj-Mammootty in the discussion stage. In a recent interview writer-director Sachy, revealed that he has pitched an idea for a dual hero subject to both the stars. While Prithviraj has given a ‘go ahead’, he is still waiting for a confirmation from Mammootty’s side.

The two stars previously acted together in Vysakh’s superhit mass entertainer Pokkiri Raja. Recently, Prithviraj had hinted about teaming up with Mammootty once again, while wishing the megastar on his birthday. This paved way for stories about the duo sharing screen space in Pokkiri Raja’s sequel, Raja 2. However, the makers are yet to give a confirmation about Prithviraj acting in the movie.

Sachy’s directorial debut Anarkali had Prithviraj in the lead and the movie was a big commercial success. So, he shares a good rapport with Prithvi and is now hopeful of getting Mammootty also on board for his next. An official word regarding this exciting project is expected to be made very soon.
