Mammootty performs a major action sequence in Madura Raja without the help of any dupe!
One of Indian cinema’s biggest icons, Mammootty is celebrating his 67th birthday today. Wishes are pouring in from his fans, well wishers and colleagues across the world. Various fans associations have organized welfare activities across the state to celebrate their matinee idol’s birthday. But the actor is distant from all the celebrations and is silently shooting for his new film, Madura Raja.
The movie’s director Vysakh took to his social media handle to wish Mammootty. In a brief note, the director has written about Mammootty’s commitment and dedication towards his profession. Apparently, the actor is performing a major action sequence choreographed by Peter Hein without any body double. Vysakh’s post reads,
Happy birthday
Dearest ,
Big Brother Mammookka ….
Now we are filming one Major action
Sequence for mammookka with Peter Hein.
Friends,
I swear, no dupe is allowed for even a single shot as per our Big B ‘s wish.
I salute him ,
for his spirit, passion, competitiveness and dedication .
Love U mammooka (sic)
Madura Raja is a spin-off of Mammootty’s character from his blockbuster film, Pokkiri Raja, also directed by Vysakh. Udhayakrishna, who last teamed up with the director for the mega blockbuster Pulimurugan, is scripting Madura Raja as well. The movie touted to be the most expensive project in Mammootty’s career, is bankrolled by debutant producer Nelson Ipe.
