Mammootty tests positive for Covid-19
At a time when the pandemic third wave is peaking in the country, veteran Malayalam actor Mammootty has tested positive for Covid-19. The veteran himself shared about his health condition. Through a brief note, he informed that he has a light fever but otherwise is feeling fine. He is currently at home isolation as per the directions of the concerned authorities. Mammootty also urged everyone to stay safe and take utmost care. His post reads,
Despite taking all the necessary precautions I have tested Covid Positive yesterday. Besides a light fever I am otherwise fine. I am self isolating at home as per the directions of the concerned authorities. I wish for all of you to stay safe. Mask at all times and take the utmost care.
With Mammootty turning Covid-19 positive, shoot for his ongoing film ‘CBI 5’ has been stopped midway. The film directed by K Madhu also stars Mukesh, Anoop Menon, Asha Sarath, Sai Kumar and many others.
Mammootty, meanwhile, has ‘Puzhu’ and ‘Bheeshma Parvam’ lined up for release. If reports are to be believed, ‘Puzhu’ will be getting a direct OTT release on Sony Liv.
