Mammootty to play Sethurama Iyer again; 5th installment in series on it’s way
Sethurama Iyer is one of Mammootty’s career best performances. The role in which he plays a CBI investigation officer was well accepted by audience right from it’s first part. It is clearly based on many real cases that had happened at various periods in our state. The movies in which Mammootty had reprised Sethurama Iyer’s role was fully filled in with realistic and suspense elements.
The latest buzz that has now come out is that K Madhu will be teaming up with Mammootty and SN Swamy to visualize the next part. He had given a small hint about the flick on Facebook after watching an interview SN Swamy given to Manorama News. It reads:
“Through my CBI films: Yesterday (23-04-2017) when I had spotted this news, when SN Swamy had talked about our movies many good memories had come to my mind: on my CBI series, the script meetings among Sri. Mammootty, SN Swamy and myself, the preparations Mammootty had to take in to become Sethurama Iyer, about music director Shyam, about his background score and many…. I alongside SN Swamy and Mammootty had started this team in 1988. Only because of our dedication and togetherness we had made hits like Oru CBI diary Kurippu, Jagratha, Sethurama Iyer CBI and Nerariyan CBI. I understand that the audience are eagerly waiting for another CBI flick from our team. Wait for the next movie in the series which is all set to make a milestone in the Malayalam film industry…”
Mohanlal- Major Ravi team’s fifth installment in the Major Mahadevan series is all set to be filmed. The film was said to make the record of the highest number of sequels played a specific character. But if reports state true, the Mohanlal movie will still stay together with the CBI series with 5 movies in number.
