Mammootty wishes luck for Pranav Mohanlal’s Aadhi
Pranav Mohanlal’s much awaited re-entry to the industry is finally happening with Aadhi. The Jeethu Joseph directorial marks the youngster’s debut as a lead actor. The movie is gearing up to hit screens this month amidst tremendous hype.
Megastar Mammootty has wished luck for Pranav and his movie Aadhi through his Facebook page. Last day, Mohanlal along with his family had visited Mammootty’s home for dinner. Along with the note, he also posted a photo taken during last day’s visit. The post reads,
“Wishing our dearest Appu who you all know as Pranav a wonderful entry into world of cinema ! For us he is just like one of our own children and has grown up before our eyes. Hes turned out to be a fine young man and will definitely delight all of you with his talent and charm. All the best for #Aadi to dearest Appu and also to his proud parents our Lal and Suchi.”
Aadhi is backed by Mohanlal’s own production house Aashirvad Cinemas. Pranav plays Adithya Menon aka Aadhi in the movie. He is an aspiring musician living with his parents in Kochi. Things take a turn once he lands in Bangalore. How he gets out of it forms the crux of the story. Lena and Siddique play Pranav’s parents in the movie. Noted Telugu actor Jagpathi Babu, who was last seen in Malayalam in Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan, is the villain in Aadhi.
As per the makers, Aadhi is not a typical mass masala flick. But it has an action mood but not the regular kind with stunts throughout the film. Pranav has performed some risky stunts in the movie. He was trained in Parkour by experts who were flown in from France. Interestingly, the youngster has also penned and lent his voice for an English retro track in the movie. Anusree, Sharafudheen, Aditi Ravi, Sijoy Varghese, Siju Wilson, Nobi, Tony Luke and Krishna Shankar are also part of the cast.
If reports are to be believed, the makers are eyeing to release the movie for the Republic Day weekend. January 26 looks like the preferred date but an official confirmation regarding the same has not yet been given.
