Mammootty’s portions in The Priest wrapped up before lockdown!
Mammootty’s upcoming film ‘The Priest’ has pretty high expectations among the audience. Directed by debutant Jofin T Chacko, the film is a thriller with a big star cast. Mammootty and Manju Warrier are acting together for the first time and that is one of the film’s biggest highlights.
‘The Priest’ shoot was progressing at a rapid pace before the lockdown was announced. It is learnt that Mammootty has already finished shooting for his portions. Once the Corona crisis is over, the makers will resume shooting. Manju Warrier still has a few scenes to be completed, which will be shot in Kuttikanam.
‘The Priest’ has its story by director Jofin while screenplay and dialogues are penned by Deepu Pradeep and Shyam Mohan. Nikhila Vimal, Sreenath Bhasi, Saniya Iyappan, Baby Monica of ‘Kaithi’ fame, Jagadheesh, Ramesh Pisharody, ‘Karikku’ fame Ameya Mathew and Tony Luke will be seen in important roles.
On the technical front, the film has Akhil George of ‘Ibilis’ and ‘Forensic’ fame as the DOP and Rahul Raj as the music director. Shameer Muhammed is handling the edits. The film is jointly produced by Anto Joseph, B Unnikrishnan and VN Babu.
