Who can ever forget that sweet, innocent looking child from Madhuranombarakattu . Yes, we are talking about Manjima Mohan who ruled our hearts a as a child artist. She played important roles in the movies like Saphalyam, Madhuranombarakattu, Priyam and the like. She won the state award for the child artist for her performance in Madhuranombarakattu. Manjima left the audience speechless with her superb performance in the movies.
But, she suddenly decided to put her career on hold so as to concentrate on her studies. However, Manjima is set to make a comeback in the movies and that too as the female protagonist. She will play the female lead in the movie Oru Vadakkan Selfie under the direction of G. Prajith. She will share the screenspace with the most successful actor of 2014, Nivin Pauly. Vineeth Sreenivasan compiles the scip of the movie. She refused to pass on more details about the movie and said that she did not have the permission to talk much about her character or the movie.
However, she did give a vague outline of her character and noted that she plays the role of Daisy who is besotted with the Nivin’s character Umesh. She is currently staying in Thalassery. Manjima has some nice words to say about the place.She vocalized her love for the place by stating that Thalassery is the apt place to kick start her career. She contemplated on her career as a child artist. Manjima feels that she has benefited from the movies since people still identify her.She recalled that she had a nonchalant attitude towards movies when she was a child and that, now, she approaches movies with a serious attitude.
She also divulged that she was panic-stricken during the first few days of shooting but soon became comfortable after making an amicable relationship with the co-stars. Making her stand clear, Manjima stated that she will select movies based on the ambit of performance and not on the length of character.
