Manoharam opens to good reports from all corners!
After delivering back to back hits with ‘Aravindante Athidhikal’ and ‘Thaneer Mathan Dhinangal’, it seems like Vineeth Sreenivasan has struck a perfect hat-trick with his latest release, ‘Manoharam’. Hitting screens last Friday, the Anvar Sadik directorial has opened to good response from all corners. Positive reviews in social medias is also helping the film to attract common audience to theatres.
‘Manoharam’ is a feel-good entertainer set in the rural locales of Palakkad. It is the story of Manu, a talented painting artist who fails to update himself according to the modern needs. The advent of flex printing affects his works, which forces him to learn photoshop and start his own business. Meanwhile, there is Rahul, an affluent businessman’s son, who is also trying to open a similar shop in the same locality. There exists a mild conflict between the two which leads to an interesting turn of events before culminating at a happy ending.
Director Anvar Sadik, who has also scripted the film, has done really well in packaging the film as a fine entertainer. It also has a good set of actors. ‘Njan Prakashan’ fame Aparna Das plays the female lead. Indrans, Basil Joseph, Deepak Parambol, Hareesh Peradi, Kalaranjini, Sreelekshmi, Jude Anthany Joseph, Ahmed Siddique, Nisthar Sait, VK Prakash, Delhi Ganesh and Nandini are also part of the cast.
‘Manoharam’ has cinematography by Jebin Jacob and songs composed by Sajeev, who is a former associate of maestro AR Rahman. Samuel Aby is handling the background score and edits are done by Nithin Raj. The film is being produced by Jos Chakkalakal of Chakkalakal Films and AK Sunil of New Surya Films.
