Miya George in Mammootty’s new movie
Megastar Mammootty was recently spotted shooting for his upcoming movie with Ajai Vasudev of Rajadhiraja fame. The movie, written by Udhayakrishna is tentatively titled as Masterpiece. Mammootty is playing the role of a college professor in this campus thriller. We had heard that the veteran star will take a break after the current schedule.
The latest we hear is that Mammootty has signed for a new movie with a newcomer. Noted ad filmmaker Sharrath Sandith, with whom Mammootty has worked for the ad films of South Indian bank, will be making his directorial debut through this movie. Miya George has been roped in to play the female lead. Miya shared screen space with Mammootty in the recently released superhit movie The Great Father.
This yet to be titled movie directed by Sharrath Sandith would go on floors on the first week of June. The first schedule is based in Bangalore and Mammootty will join the team on June 5. The movie is reportedly produced by NRI businessman Anthony D’Cruz. More details regarding the movie is expected to be announced in the coming days.
Mammootty, meanwhile has a list of movies waiting in the pipeline. He is yet to finish shooting his portions for 7th Day fame Shyam Dhar’s untitled movie. He has also completed the first schedule of cinematographer Shamdat’s debut directorial Streetlights, which is a bilingual in Tamil and Malayalam. Mammootty is playing a police officer in the movie which is also produced by his Playhouse Pictures.
