Mohanlal and Sarathkumar to come together for an action-packed film!
Its been a while since speculations about Mohanlal reuniting with director Bhadran started surfacing online. Recently, it was reported that the director is planning to make a forest-based movie with Mohanlal in which the superstar was said to be playing the role of a mahout. However, the director himself came out dismissing these reports as completely baseless. But he had informed that he will be working with Mohanlal anytime next year.
Apparently, his next with Mohanlal is a road movie which will be shot entirely outside Kerala. Bhadran has scripted this film which according to him is an action-packed film based on some real life events. It will be a complete entertainer with equal doses of romnace, family drama and humour. Tamil actor Sarathkumar and Remya Krishnan will also be playing crucial roles in the movie.
Revealing more about Mohanlal’s character, Bhadran in a recent interview to TOI said, “It’s a powerful It’s a powerful character and like Aadu Thoma in Spadikam, he has a gentle heart and at the same time is a rough and tough guy. He is well versed in Malayalam, Hindi, English and many other languages. He travels a lot and based on the place he is in at a given time, he uses his skills to blend in accordingly.”
Director Bhadran has previously worked with Mohanlal in four films namely Uncle Bun, Spadikam, Olympiyan Anthony Adam and Udayon. Spadikam, released in 1995, is widely regarded as one of Mohanlal’s best films till date. The movie enjoys a enjoys a cult status among the Malayali audience.
Bhadran narrated the script of his upcoming movie to Mohanlal during the shoot of Velipadinte Pusthakam. Impressed by the script, Mohanlal set aside a bulk 100 days for the shoot of this film. Sophia Paul’s Weekend Blockbusters is in talks for production but nothing has been confirmed as of now. It must be noted that Mohanlal’s first release this year, Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol was also produced by the same banner.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal is currently busy shooting for VA Shrikumar Menon’s Odiyan in Palakkad. After its completion, he will be joining the sets of Ajoy Varma’s thriller film, slated to go on floors in December. The superstar also has Priyadarshan’s multilingual mass entertainer, Prithviraj’s directorial debut Lucifer, Joshiy’s family drama, a Shaji Kailas-Renji Panicker movie and the 1000 crore magnum opus Mahabharata in the pipeline.
