Mohanlal’s Ram to Resume Filming in April, Both Parts Set for 2026 Release

After a long hiatus, Mohanlal’s highly anticipated action thriller Ram is finally set to resume filming in April 2025. The two-part film, directed by Jeethu Joseph, had completed 80% of its shoot before production was halted due to technical and financial issues. Now, the makers are planning a two-week schedule in April, followed by an extensive shoot to wrap up the remaining portions by November 2025. The latest reports indicate that both parts of Ram will be released in 2026, making it one of the most awaited projects in Malayalam cinema.

Jeethu Joseph has assured that Ram will be a high-octane commercial entertainer, featuring intense action, chase sequences, and emotional depth rather than conventional mass dialogues. The film boasts a stellar cast, with Trisha Krishnan marking her third Malayalam film. Other key actors include Indrajith Sukumaran, Chandu Nath, Durga Krishna, Adil Hussain, Sai Kumar, and Siddique, ensuring a performance-driven spectacle. The technical team features Satheesh Kurup (cinematography), V S Vinayak (editing), and Vishnu Shyam (music).

Currently, Jeethu Joseph is occupied with his Asif Ali-starrer Mirage. Once completed, he is expected to shift focus back to Ram. Bankrolled by Abhishek Films, the movie is shaping up to be a big-screen spectacle, raising excitement among fans eagerly awaiting Mohanlal’s action-packed comeback.
