Mohanlal’s wishes for Nivin Pauly’s Richie
Nivin Pauly’s first straight Tamil movie Richie, directed by debutant Gautham Ramachandran is gearing up for release. The movie is slated to hit screens on May 12. Richie is the official remake of superhit Kannada movie, Ulidavaru Kandanthe.
Official teaser for the movie was released recently. Nivin Pauly in the titular role is seen in a bearded look and he will be seen as a thug in the movie. The actor with the sunglasses is charismatic as always and reminds one of the famous Premam stunt scene. Interestingly, the actor himself has dubbed for the character.

The teaser has been trending virally in social medias with many celebrities like Gautham Menon sharing. Superstar Mohanlal has also shared the teaser in his official Facebook page and he wished all success for the movie. It is heartening to see such a big star like Mohanlal encouraging other actors and supporting their movies.
Richie is centered around two characters- one played by Nivin Pauly and the other by Natty aka Natarajan Subramanian. It is said to be an investigative thriller set in the coastal area.
Veteran actor Prakash Raj will be seen in a pivotal role as Nivin’s father like figure. Shraddha Srinath, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouly and Elango Kumaravel will be seen in supporting characters. The movie is produced by Vinod Shornur and Anand Kumar.
