Nedumudi Venu part of two of Mammootty’s upcoming films
One of Malayalam cinema’s finest actors, Nedumudi Venu passed away on Monday at the age of 73. His passing away has left an irreplaceable void in the industry. A veteran of over 500 films, Nedumudi Venu has worked with the likes of Mohanlal, Mammootty to Nivin Pauly and Dulquer Salmaan.
Mammootty, who shares a very close bond with Nedumudi Venu, has written an emotional tribute in his social media handle. He also revealed that Nedumudi is part of two of his upcoming films — ‘Bheeshma Parvam’ and ‘Puzhu’. Though details regarding his characters are not known, both are said to be brief but crucial ones. It was only two weeks back that he completed his portions for ‘Puzhu’.
Mammootty paid a visit to Nedumudi Venu’s home at Thiruvananthapuram last day. Addressing the medias present there, Mammootty said that Venu’s demise will remain a huge loss for Malayalam art and cultural space. He added that they had a bond that is more than just friendship and it lasted for over 40 years.
