Premam, which is the second highest grosser of all-time in Malayalam cinema history has given Nivin Pauly, the lead star in it, the best time of his life. Because the success of the film in such a huge level not only made him a big star among youngsters in Mollywood but also gave him a huge fan base in Tamil and Telugu film industries as well. Now as per reports Nivin Pauly has a fan base equal to Mohanlal and Mammootty in Tamil and Telugu or may be more than that as youngsters follow him more.
Alphonse Putharen’s first film Neram which also released in Tamil was a success there as well along with its Mollywood success. That really gave Nivin Pauly an identity there. Later when Bangalore Days came it also did very well in Tamil and Telugu box office due to its pan Indian story line and the multi-star cast which included Dulquer Salmaan and Fahad Fazil along with Nivin Pauly. That success made him more popular outside Malayalam film industry. Then came Premam. It was such a big success in Tamil Nadu that it completed 100 days in Tamilnadu and most of the shows were houseful as well. No other Malayalam film other than Drishyam has got such a response there. The songs of the film also became super hits there.
Now Premam is being remade into Telugu and Tamil language. In Telugu it has been titled as Majnu and Naga Chaitanya, the Son of Nagarjuna is playing the lead role in it. The Tamil version will also start soon and it will be financed by none other than Dhanush under his production house named Wonder Bar productions and new acting sensation in Tamil named Vijay Sethupathy will play the male lead in it. Bangalore Days is also remaking to Tamil and Telugu and the shooting of which is almost completed as per reports.
There was news that Nivin Pauly will do a Tamil film this year and it will be a kind of thriller as per reports. Nivin liked the story and agreed to do the lead as per sources as well.
