Nivin Pauly to shed weight for Love Action Drama!
Nivin Pauly has been working on Roshan Andrews’ Kayamkulam Kochunni for sometime now. Shoot for the movie is nearing completion and the actor will next join Dhyan Sreenivasan’s directorial debut, Love Action Drama (LAD). Nivin will be losing weight before the movie goes on floors.
Apparently, his character in LAD demands a youthful look; so he will be shedding all the extra pounds that he had gained for Kayamkulam Kochunni. This bit of information was revealed by Aju Varghese, who is also venturing into production with LAD. The movie is most likely to go on floors in June after Nivin wraps up his portions for Kochunni.
Love Action Drama has ‘lady superstar’ Nayanthara paired opposite Nivin for the first time. The movie is said to be a reportedly a modern day take on the yesteryear hit film ‘Vadakkunokkiyanthram’, directed by Dhyan’s father Sreenivasan. Interestingly, the lead characters in LAD are also named as Dineshan and Shobha.
Following the announcement of the title and character names, it was speculated that Dhyan’s movie will be a spoof. But, Dhyan, who has also scripted the movie, has clarified that Love Action Drama is not a spoof but a romantic comedy. Nivin Pauly’s character will have a few similarities to Dineshan of Vadakkunokkiyanthram, but there will be no other resemblance.
Aju Varghese will also be seen in a prominent role in this movie. Shaan Rahman will be handling the music department and Vivek Harshan has been roped in as the editor. Aju is funding this movie jointly with Vishak Subramaniam under the banner of Funtastic Films.
Meanwhile, Nivin Pauly’s latest release Hey Jude continues to get response from the audience. The movie has opened to largely positive reviews, with many rating Nivin’s performance as his career best. The Shyamaprasad directorial is a feel-good entertainer that has Trisha playing the female lead.
