I am not an outsider for Kerala: Suriya
It is well known that Kollywood star Suriya enjoys a huge popularity in Kerala. The actor has a massive fan following among the youngsters of the State. His popularity among the Malayalis has seen a steady growth from the days of Sillunu Oru Kadhal and Vaaranam Aayiram. His movies like Ghajini, Varanam Aayiram, Ayan, 7am Arivu, Singam have all had great run in Kerala.
Suriya’s next Singam 3 aka Si3, third installment in the popular Singam series, is gearing up for a worldwide release on February 9. The actor has been busy promoting the movie in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. He was recently in Thrissur and Thiruvananthapuram as part of promotions. Fans thronged in large numbers to catch a glimpse of their matinee idol. He met his fans and had a media interaction session.
In a recent interview, Suriya felt that he is no outsider to the State and added that he is grateful for the love he is receiving from Kerala. He shared his experience about his recent visit to the State.
He said, “This time along with the promotions, I also wanted to meet my fans. Kerala media have always supported me right from the start of my career. So I wanted to thank them also. The kind of reception my movies have been getting here makes me feel that I am no outsider to the State. I am indebted for the love and support I am getting from Kerala.”
Singam 3’s Kerala distribution rights have been brought by The All Kerala Singam Suriya Fans and Welfare Association (AKSSFWA) in collaboration with Sopanam Entertainment. Fans have pinned high hopes in this action packed cop movie.
