Operation Java streaming rights bagged by Zee5
After running successfully in theatres for 75 days, ‘Operation Java’ is now set for OTT release. Zee Kerala has bagged the satellite rights and their own digital platform Zee5 has bagged the streaming rights. The makers are expected to announce the OTT release date very soon.
‘Operation Java’ directed by debutant Tharun Moorthy is a film centred around cyber crimes. Despite the presence of no big star and the audience restriction enforced due to the pandemic, the film managed to emerge as a box office hit. Balu Varghese, Lukman, Vinayakan, Irshad, Shine Tom Chacko, Binu Pappu, Dhanya Ananya, Mamitha Baiju, Vineetha Koshy, Johny Antony and Prashanth Alexander played the main roles in it.
Critics as well as common audience lapped up the film proving that there is always takers for good content. ‘Operation Java’ is also set to be remade in other languages. The makers have received remake offers from various languages and an official word regarding the same will be out soon. Director Tharun Moorthy has also confirmed that a sequel will be made, but only after 2-3 years.
