For some times there had been a lot of  speculations and rumours about the Kollywood remake of the Mollywood blockbuster released in 2014 named Bangalore Days  which had been conceived by popular mollywood female director Anjali Menon and now putting to rest all that speculations and rumours, the Kollywood remake of the film had launched in Chennai and the pooja function of the Malayalam muti-starrer mega hit was held on 2015 March 18.

In the kollywood version of the film , other than Parvathi Menon who played the heroine of Dulquer Salmaan in the Malayalam version all other actors and actresses were replaced in the Tamil version and the new star cast in Tamil version consist of actors like Rana Daggubati, Sri Divya,  Arya, Bobby Simha etc. The character which young star Dulquer Salmaan played in the Malayalam version will be played by Arya in the Tamil version. FahadFazil’s character in the mollywood version will be enacted by Rana Daggubati in the Tamil version and Sri Divya will replace Nazriya Nazim in the Tamil version. Nivin Pauly’s character in the Malayalam version will be done by Bobby Simha in the Tamil remake.

The other one who was retained from the original Malayalam version of the film by the makers of Tamil version is Gopi Sundar, the music director of the film.  The one who is going to conceive the kollywood version of the film is Bhaskar who gave successful film like Bommarillu. Production team had plans to make the film both in Tamil and Telugu language and now reports are coming in that they decided to opt different directors for different languages unlike they are planned to create it with the same director in Tamil and telugu.

There is also another change from the Malayalam version is that the plot background of the film will be set in Singapore rather than in banglore. The film will be financed by PVP films and Prasad Potluri. The mollywood version was a trendsetting success directed by financed by Anwar Rasheed along with weekend blockbusters and it had grossed around 35 crore rupees from the box office and touted as the second biggest success in mollywood after the mighty Drishyam starred Mohanlal.
