Prabhas expresses his gratitude for the historic success of Baahubali
Prabhas is now a nation wide sensation after the historic success of the Baahubali series. The sequel, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has scripted history by becoming the first ever Indian movie to collect Rs 1000 crores. The phenomenal success of Baahubali has made Prabhas a household name in India.
The actor devoted five solid years of his life to play the role of Baahubali. He worked hard for years to develop a warrior’s physique, underwent training in fights, horse riding, sword fights, archery etc. Prabhas stood by SS Rajamouli for five long years and breathed life into the director’s vision.
The actor took to social media to express his gratitude to the audience for making Baahubali such a huge success. He also thanked director Rajamouli for offering him a once in a lifetime character. Prabhas wrote on his Facebook page,
“To All My Fans, a big hug to each one of you for all the love that you’ll have showered on me. I have tried my best to go through a lot of the efforts that you all have put to express your affection for me from different parts of India and even overseas. I am truly overwhelmed with everything. The journey of Baahubali has been a long one but among the few things that I will take away from this, is all of you. Lots of love back to you all. A big thank you to SS Rajamouli sir for believing in me to carry his huge vision to the masses, giving me a once-in-a-lifetime character of Baahubali and making the entire journey so special.”
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, released on April 28 was released simultaneously in four languages-Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam. It was released in a whopping 9000 screens across the world. The movie opened to extraordinary response from the critics and audience alike. It soon went on a rampage shattering all pre-existing box office records of an Indian movie. It is now the highest grossing Indian movie after toppling PK’s lifetime collections of Rs 792 crores within 10 days time.
