Pranav Mohanlal’s Aadhi gets a clean ‘U’; All set to hit screens on January 26!
Pranav Mohanlal’s debut film as a lead actor Aadhi is eagerly awaited by the Malayali audience. The movie was censored today with a clean U certificate and is now set to hit screens on January 26. Although talks about Aadhi releasing on Republic Day have been doing the rounds for sometime, it was only confirmed today after the censoring. Director Jeethu Joseph officially announced it through his Facebook page.
This Republic Day, Kerala box office will be witnessing a massive box clash as Mammootty’s cop-action thriller Street Lights is also set for release on the same day. Both the movies are hitting screens amidst tremendous hype; so a mouthwatering contest is definitely on cards.
Aadhi, scripted by Jeethu Joseph, is said to be a thriller with an action mood. Pranav plays Adithya Menon aka Aadhi in the movie. He is an aspiring musician who accidentally lands in trouble. How he gets out of it forms the crux of the story. Reports suggest that the youngster has performed some risky stunts in the movie. Prior to the shoot, Pranav was trained in Parkour by experts who were flown in from France.
Aadhi has a good set of actors in the supporting cast. Telugu actor Jagpathi Babu, noted for his role in Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan, will be seen as the villain in Aadhi. Siddique, Lena, Anusree, Sharafudheen, Aditi Ravi, Sijoy Varghese, Siju Wilson, Nobi, Tony Luke and Krishna Shankar are also part of the movie.
Satheesh Kurup is the cinematographer and Ayoob Khan is in charge of the edits. Anil Johnson is handling the music department. Antony Perumbavoor is producing this movie under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.
