Premam completed 250 days in Chennai !
Premam had once again become the pride of Mollywood by scaling another peak in its theatrical run at Chennai. Yes, the film had crossed 250 days in Chennai and still continuing its run in two screens there. The film has one show at Escape Cinemas and one show at Mayajaal Chennai. The film had created such a great impact in Tamil Nadu that master film makers like Shankar, Selva Raghavan etc were praised the film and Selva Raghavan even said that in Tamil, there is no one now to remake Premam. He said that only Alphonse Puthren and crew can do justice to this film and everyone praised Nivin Pauly as well for his performance in the film.
The film’s impact there become more evident when Kollywood Film lovers who are active in social media started a campaign that they do not want to see the Tamil Remake of Premam as they are already in love with the Malayalam version and they are in love with each and every character of the film. They says that they do not want to replace those characters with any other. The Telugu Version of the film already started filming with the title Majnu and it has Naga Chaithanya in the lead.

Premam’s Success also had given a great fan base to Nivin Pauly there and it had given a new market for Malayalam cinema as a whole in Tamil Nadu. The songs of the film is chartbusters even in Tamil Nadu and every technical aspect of the film had received great appreciation there. The characters such as Malar played by Sai Pallavi and Celine played by Madonna had acquired huge fan following there at Tamil Nadu as well.
Those characters including Anupama Parameshwaran’s Mery had created a sensational fan following for the film in Kerala. But here the film ran only around 150 days due to the leaking of censor copy of the flick. But in Tamil Nadu, the flick showed its real metal and still continuing its run in theaters like in a dream. Even Tamil films are not ran 100 days last year in Tamil Nadu.
