Pushpa 2 Smashes Records to Become Third Highest-Grossing Indian Film
Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has rewritten box office history with its extraordinary performance. Directed by Sukumar, the film has climbed to the third spot among the highest-grossing Indian movies of all time, surpassing the lifetime earnings of RRR (₹1230 crore) and KGF Chapter 2 (₹1215 crore).
In a historic achievement, the film’s Hindi version crossed ₹500 crore in net collections in just 11 days, setting a new record for the fastest movie to reach this milestone. Previously, Jawan held the record, achieving the same feat in 18 days.
With its ongoing success, Pushpa 2: The Rule is poised to challenge the box office records of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (₹1790 crore) and Dangal (₹2000 crore). Analysts suggest it could soon surpass Baahubali 2, making it the second-highest-grossing Indian film ever.
A sequel to Pushpa: The Rise, the film brings back Allu Arjun in his iconic role as Pushpa Raj, alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil. Its unprecedented success underscores its widespread appeal, solidifying Pushpa 2 as a landmark moment in Indian cinema.
