Puthiya Niyamam Collection Report – 7 Days
AK Sajan directorial and scripted movie named Puthiya Niyamam had released on February 12th this year and as you all know, Mega star Mammootty and Super heroine Nayanthara played the lead roles in the film. The film had opened to some mixed reviews from all over which means there are people who liked the film and there are people who opines that the film has not risen to a level that they expected it to be.
Anyway, the mixed response had taken a beating on the box office collection of the film and as per sources from industry, the flick had earned above 5 crore rupees from its 7 days of theatrical run in Kerala. Puthiya Niyamam, a family thriller, had come after postponing the releasing date multiple times. Then it came to an atmosphere filled with great anticipation from fans as well.
It is partially succeeded in a way as it pleased majority of the fans of Mammootty. But neutral audience was divided and given only an average or below average rating to the film. Mouth publicity also spread around Kerala just like it is a one time watchable thriller and nothing more than that.
Now the film is struggling at box office on working days and from morning to evening, very low collection is reporting from all around. Its only relief in working days are the average or above average evening show collections. The only factor that is saving the film is now is the absence of big releases in Mollywood for some days. So that Puthiya Niyamam can hold its screens for a while and hope for a revival by good promotion.
