Queen garners great response as youngsters throng theaters in large numbers!
Debutant director Dijo Jose Antony’s Queen was released yesterday (January 12) in a good number of screens in Kerala. The movie had its share of expectations among the audience thanks to the highly impressive teaser and promos. Going by the audience response, we can say that the movie has lived up to all the pre-release hype. It is not often that you such see a phenomenal response for a movie with a bunch of newcomers in the cast as well as the technical crew.
Youngsters, mostly college students, have taken up the movie and are visiting theaters in large numbers. On the opening day, many theaters in Kerala witnessed a rare phenomenon of engineering students going for mass bunk to watch the movie together.
Queen scripted by Sharis Mohammed and Jebin Joseph Antony is the story of a group of mechanical engineering students. The plot evolves after the arrival of a girl who joins mechanical engineering, a stream which is generally considered as boys only. A bunch of newcomers are playing the lead roles while Salim Kumar has played a brief cameo role in the movie.
The technical crew of Queen largely comprises of newcomers. Suresh Gopi has weilded the camera and Sagar Dass is in charge of the edits. Jakes Bejoy has handled the music department. The movie is being produced by Arabian Dreams and Entertainment headed by Rinshad Vellodathil, TR Shamsudeen and Shibu K Moideen.
