Ragam fest to start off with Sneharagam on March 13th
The popular annual cultural festival of NITC, named Ragam is all set begin and the event will start off with a social initiative taken by the students of NITC as a part of Ragam. The event is titled as Sneharagam and the heartwarming program will take place on March 13th. Calicut district collector N Prashant will be the chief guest of this event and NITC will host more than 200 differently abled students who are coming from the Malabar region of Kerala. Ragam 2016 will kick start with this event as well.
The event aims to spread joy and celebration and also carries forward the legacy of NITC to realize the needs of the society and the striving to meet them. The spirit of giving is the one which makes this event possible and for NITC students, this is very special and they keeps this close to their heart. For them this is a venture that touches lives of the fellow being around them and they like to carry out it with new spirit and thereby fulfill their duty to the society they live in with full of joy.
They conducts programs for the children with special needs. In the platform they set for them, they can showcase their talents in dancing, singing, acting and there are many other activities as well. It gives a sense of accomplishment and self-worth among them and it also tells to the society that they are also a part of our society and they should be given the care and support to accomplish their dreams.
As a part Sneha Ragam they conducts excursion for 140 children for the nearby orphanages to the regional science centers and planetarium. They also gives medical aid to the children from the fund they created through the selling of handmade card made by the volunteers. Their effortscan be called a life transforming experience and what they really do with their activities is that they bring smiles to the face of others. That is the biggest thing one can do in his life in this world. They are inviting us to be a part of that as well and we can also contribute to it with whatever ways that we can afford.
