Raghava Lawrence to start works on the fourth part of Muni/Kanchana series

Actor-director-choreographer Raghava Lawrence is the one who should be credited for starting the horror comedy wave. The success of his Muni/Kanchana franchise triggered the trend of horror comedy flicks in Tamil cinema. Kanchana 2, the third part in the series, was a whopping success doing a business of over Rs 100 crores.

Now if reports are to be believed, Raghava Lawrence is all set to helm the fourth part in the series. There are reports about Lawrence himself directing this movie. The film is expected to be named as Muni 4 Kanchana. Apart from acting, he would also be directing and producing it under his Raghavendra Productions banner.

Reportedly, leading Tamil channel Sun TV has already purchased the satellite rights of the film for a huge amount. Satellite rights for the Hindi version have also been sold already for a whopping price.

Earlier it was speculated that Raghava Lawrence would be teaming up with director P Vasu again for the remake of superstar Rajinikanth’s yesteryear blockbuster Moondru Mugam.

Then it was reported that Lawrence would be working on a historical film scripted by Baahubali writer Vijayendra Prasad and directed by SS Rajamouli’s assistant.An official confirmation about his next project is still awaited.
