Shilpa Manjunath to make her Mollywood debut with Biju Menon’s Rosapoo

Rosapoo is an upcoming movie directed by debutant Vinu Joseph, a former associate of Rajeev Ravi. It is a realistic black comedy starring Biju Menon in the lead role. South Indian actress Anjali is playing the female lead. Neeraj Madhav is essaying a very prominent role in the movie. Latest addition to the cast is Kannada actress Shilpa Manjunath.

Shilpa will be making her M Town debut with Rosapoo. Hers is a very solid role and she will be seen as Neeraj Madhav’s pair in the movie. She chose to act in the movie as she feels that Rosapoo, in spite of being an entertainer, gives her great scope for performance.

Rosapoo is jointly written by Vinu Joseph and Santhosh Echikkanam.Anjali is making a comeback to Mollywood after a gap of six long years with this movie. Her character in the movie is half Tamilian and half Kannadiga. Interestingly, the movie will have 143 characters with prominence to each one of them. Soubin Shahir and Dileesh Pothan are also part of the cast.

Shibu Thameens, who has produced big budget films like Vijay’s Puli and Vikram’s Irumugan is bankrolling this movie. This is his second production venture in Malayalam after Dulquer Salmaan’s superhit movie ABCD.
