Rajinikanth mania: Kaala teaser creates a storm across social medias!
The highly anticipated teaser of superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming movie Kaala was released midnight on March 2. It was initially scheduled to release in the morning but unfortunately, the director’s copy of the teaser got leaked forcing the makers to release it midnight. Inspite of that, the teaser has gone on a record breaking spree courtesy the never ending Rajinikanth craze. The video is now trending at the top in YouTube with a whopping 5.6 million views in 15 hours time.
As expected, director Pa Ranjith has loaded the teaser with mass elements to excite the superstar’s fans. But that’s not all; it also has an evidnet political subtext which is quite hard to miss. The dialogues, lyrics, costumes and even the props used in the background are cleverly placed to add depth to the movie’s politics. Santhosh Narayanan’s goosebumps background score is another major highlight of the teaser.
Kaala is basically a commercial gangster flick based in the Mumbai underworld. It is about a guy from Tirunelveli, who runs away in his childhood to Mumbai to become a powerful don living in the slums. Rajinikanth plays this character, Kaala, who heads the Tamil community in the slums of Dharavi.
Kaala has an ensemble supporting cast which includes several noted actors from North India. Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi is playing the female lead, but she is not paired opposite Rajinikanth. Multiple national award winner Nana Patekar is playing the powerful antagonist’s role. Jackie Shroff, Pankaj Tripathi, Eeshwari Rao, Anjali Patil, Sayaji Shinde, Sakshi Agarwal, Samuthirakani, Sukanya, Ramesh Thilak and Sampath Raj are also part of the supporting cast.
Rajinikanth’s son-in-law and actor Dhanush is producing Kaala under his banner Wunderbar Films Pvt Ltd. Sreekar Prasad is editing the movie and Pa Ranjith’s regular composer Santhosh Narayanan is handling the music department. The movie is slated for a grand summer release on April 27.
