Ranveer Singh looks strikingly similar to Kapil Dev in ’83 first look
As we already know, director Kabir Khan is making a film on India’s historic 1983 Cricket World Cup win. The film aptly titled as ’83 has Ranveer Singh playing the lead role as Kapil Dev, who was the team’s skipper. Today, on the birthday of Ranveer, the makers released the first look and the actor looks stunningly similar to Kapil of the 80s.
Ranveer Singh’s First Look Of 83 Film
’83 reunites Ranveer with his actress wife Deepika Padukone, who essays the role of Romi Dev, wife of Kapil Dev. The movie has a big star cast comprising of actors like Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Ammy Virk, Jiva and Harrdy Sandhu among others. Tamil actor Jiiva is making his Hindi debut with this film. He will be essaying the role of former Indian cricket team opener
Krishnamachari Srikanth.
Shoot for the movie is currently progressing in England. Prior to the commencement of shoot, the team had undergone basics in formal cricket training for months together in Dharamsala and Kapil had also joined them. Balwinder Sandhu and Yashpal Sharma had also trained the actors.
