Sachy was planning to work with Ajith, reveals his wife Siji Sachy
It has been one year since the unfortunate passing away of Malayalam filmmaker Sachy. Sachy passed away following a cardiac arrest, which was due to the complications following a hip replacement surgery. His death sent shockwaves across the Malayalam industry as it was only few months since the director had just made his career best film — ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’.
Last day, on Sachy’s first death anniversary, his wife Siji Sachy spoke to a popular Malayalam media about the late filmmaker’s unfulfilled plans. She revealed that Tamil superstar Ajith had called Sachy after being impressed by ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ and expressed his desire to work with him. Sachy also had plans to make a Dhanushkodi based project with Ajith. According to his wife, it was a dream project for Sachy as he had plans to make it on a big scale. He was supposed to meet Ajith after his hip replacement surgery. It is quite unfortunate that the director passed away when he was at the peak of his career.
Sachy also had plans to make a multi-starrer titled ‘Brigand’. He was hoping to cast Mammootty, Prithviraj, Tovino and Asif Ali in the film. Apart from that, Sachy was also set to work on the big screen adaptation of Indugopan’ ‘Vilayath Buddha’. His associate Jayan Nambiar is making his directorial debut with this film, which has Prithviraj as the lead.
