Sara Arjun to play Aishwarya Rai’s younger part in Ponniyin Selvan
Sara Arjun, noted for her roles in Tamil films like ‘Deiva Thirumagal’, ‘Saivam’ and ‘Sillu Karuppatti’ has revealed that she’s a part of Mani Ratnam’s upcoming biggie ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. Reportedly, the teenager will be seen playing the younger version of Aishwarya Rai’s character Nandini.
‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is a highly ambitious with several stars from various languages as part of its cast. Vikram, Trisha, Vikram Prabhu, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Kishore, Jayaram, Rahman, Lal, Ashwin Kakumanu and many others are already confirmed in the film.
The film is originally based on a historical Tamil novel written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. It tells the story of early days of Arulmozhivarman, who later became the great Chola emperor Raja Raja Chola I. Shoot is currently put on hold due to the Covid-19 crisis. Mani Ratnam’s own banner Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions are collaborating for this mega budget film’s production.
