Sarkar will be much better than Kaththi and Thuppakki: AR Murugadoss
Vijay and AR Murugadoss form one of the most successful actor-director combos in South Indian cinema. The duo have already given two huge blockbusters – Thuppakki and Kaththi – are now coming together for the third time. Their upcoming movie titled as Sarkar promises to be nothing short of a treat for the audience. The massive reception for the title and first look itself is a testament to the kind of expectations the movie has among the general public.
AR Murugadoss has assured that Sarkar will be much different from and better than Thuppakki and Kaththi. While Thupakki was a thrilling story of an army man fighting the sleeper cells, Kaththi discussed the plight of farmers in Tamil Nadu and how a con man stands up for them against the powerful corporates. Both the movies struck a chord with majority of the cine-goers and emerged successful, both critically and commercially.
As the title suggests, Sarkar is a political thriller. Murugadoss, a socially conscious filmmaker, has reportedly scripted a mass entertainer with strong political flavor. The present political scenario in Tamil Nadu will be discussed in the movie. With such a big star like Vijay in the helm of things, the reach and impact will be multifold.
Vijay’s character in Sarkar is said to be one of the most challenging roles he has done so far in his career. Keerthy Suresh, Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar, Pala Karuppiah, Radha Ravi, Yogi Babu, Prem, Livingston and many others are also part of the movie’s cast. Music is by maestro AR Rahman and Girish Gangadharan cranks the camera.
Sarkar produced by Sun Pictures is slated to hit screens worldwide for Diwali in November.
