A share from Take Off’s profit will be used for welfare activities
Editor turned filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan’s debut directorial Take Off was released yesterday in around 224 theatres all over India. The movie has been getting excellent reports both from the critics and the trade sources. Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, Parvathy Menon and Asif Ali have played the lead roles in the movie.
Critics have unanimously praised the film and the team’s efforts. Social media is abuzz with appreciation for Take Off with many calling it as a landmark movie in Malayalam film industry. The movie is certain to have a glorious run in the box office.
Kunchako Boban in a recent interview informed that the team will be carrying out welfare activities with a share of the profit from the movie. They will also support late filmmaker Rajesh Pillai’s family with the profit from the collections.
Take Off was made as a tribute to late filmmaker Rajesh Pillai. The movie is funded by Anto Joseph and Shebin Becker in association with Rajesh Pillai Films. Megha Rajesh Pillai is the executive producer of the movie.
We had also told you that the lead actors Fahadh Faasil and Kunchako Boban have not taken a single penny as remuneration for working in the movie. Kunchacko Boban has played a male nurse in the movie while Fahadh played the role of Manoj Abraham, an Indian Ambassador in the movie.
Take Off is a story about nurses who get trapped in Iraq during the war period. The movie is inspired from real life incidents when around 40 nurses including Malayalis were trapped in a hospital in Tikrit region in Iraq due to the ISIS attacks.
The movie is jointly written by Mahesh Narayanan and PV Shaji Kumar. Abhilash Balachandran and Mahesh Narayanan handled the edits. Sanu Varghese cranked the camera for this movie.
