Shocking! 2.0 teaser leaked
If there is one film that the whole nation is eagerly looking forward to, then it has to be Shankar’s sci-fi magnum opus, 2.0. Much has been talked about this movie which marks the coming together of two of Indian cinema’s biggest superstars, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, for the first time. Naturally, the movie has tremendous expectations among the audience.
The team of 2.0 have been working hard to get the possible output but unfortunately the movie’s teaser was leaked online today. The 1.26 minute video is trending virally in social medias. The teaser has some mind blowing visuals, a kind that Indian cinema has not seen before. CG works are incomplete as we can clearly see the green and blue screen on many shots.
Trade analysts and many celebrities have expressed their disappointment about the leakage. Many have questioned why the makers could not prevent a leakage despite investing over Rs 400 crores for the project. This teaser leak might have a big impact in the movie’s release and revenue.
2.0’s release has been postponed multiple times citing extensive post-production works. VFX and animatronic works are handled by various organisations from more than ten countries. Legacy Effects, Tau Films, Quantum FX, Double Negative and national award-winning VFX supervisor Srinivas Mohan are all involved in the post-production process.
Many internationally renowned technicians are also associated in the movie’s technical side. AR Rahman is composing the music and Resul Pookkutty is in charge of the sound design. Legacy Effects, who have worked in movies like Avengers, Jurassic Park, Iron Man etc are working on the animatronics department.
Inspired by the massive success of movies like Dangal and Baahubali 2, the makers of 2.0 are planning to release the movie in all major Indian languages in addition to Japanese and Chinese versions.
