Sivakumar, Suriya and Karthi meet MK Stalin; Donate Rs 1 crore to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund
The second wave of pandemic has put the whole country in distress as the positive cases are surging daily. Several states in the country are running short of medical equipments including beds, oxygen tanks and ventilators. Many generous souls, including commoners, people from within the film industry and businessmen, have been doing their part by donating towards Covid relief.
Tamil actors Suriya, Karthi and their father Sivakumar met and greeted the newly-elected Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin. They also donated Rs 1 crore towards Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund (CMPRF) for the fight against COVID-19. Rajsekar Pandian of 2D Entertainment was also present with the actors when they met the CM on Wednesday evening. The family has always been on the forefront when it comes to helping the needy. Their generosity to help those affected by the pandemic is getting lauded by netizens.
Earlier, CM Stalin had requested public and private organisations to donate towards the CMPRF. He also assured that the money donated will be spent for increasing oxygen beds, procuring medicines and ventilators, production of oxygen, infrastructure development of hospitals, purchasing vaccines, and for other medical expenses.
