Sunny Wayne also part of Mammootty’s Oru Kuttanadan Blog!
Noted scriptwriter Sethu is making his directorial debut with Oru Kuttanadan Blog starring Mammootty in the lead. The movie touted to be a rural based fun entertainer is gearing up as an Onam release. Expectations are on the higher side for the movie as family audience seek fun entertainers during the festive Onam season. The posters released so far have all been promising and give vibes of a colourful entertainer.
Along with Mammootty, Oru Kuttanadan Blog also has new-gen actors like Jacob Gregory, Shaheen Siddique, Vivek Gopan, Sanju Sivaram and Jude Anthany Joseph in crucial roles. According to our sources within the industry, young star Sunny Wayne is also essaying a significant role in the movie. Reportedly, the actor plays a blogger’s role in the movie. Buzz is that the character was initially supposed to be played by Vineeth Sreenivasan but he couldn’t be part of the movie due to his other commitments.
Oru Kuttanadan, scripted by Sethu, is narrated interestingly through various episodes of a blog. The movie’s core plot is set in a village named Krishnapuram. Mammootty plays the role of Hari, a big-brother like figure, fondly called as Hari ettan in the locality. Anu Sithara, Raai Laxmi and Shamna Kasim play the three female leads.
Nedumudi Venu, Siddique, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Vineeth Kumar, Lalu Alex, Thesni Khan, Nandan Unni and Sohan Seenulal are also part of the supporting cast. ‘Idea Star Singer’ fame Sreenath Sivasankaran is debuting as a composer with this movie. Pradeep Nair has cranked the camera and Bijibal handles the music department. Shameer Muhammed is in charge of the edits.
Oru Kuttandan Blog is being produced by Murali Dharan and Santha Murali under the banner of Anantha Vision. Reports suggest that the movie will hit screens on August 24, though an official confirmation is still awaited.
