Sunny Wayne to play a prominent role in Nivin Pauly’s Kayamkulam Kochunni
It is already known that Nivin Pauly is playing Kayamkulam Kochunni in ace filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews’ movie based on the legendary thief. National award winning duo Bobby and Sanjay are scripting this film which is all set to go on floors this September.
According to latest reports, promising young actor Sunny Wayne has been roped in to play a pivotal part in the movie. This will be his second film with Nivin Pauly after he did a cameo role in the latter’s rom-com Thattathin Marayathu.
Sunny Wayne’s role in the upcoming movie has not yet been revealed but there are unconfirmed reports about him playing a close aid to Kochunni.
The movie will explore several unknown aspects of Kochunni’s life from how he turned into a rebel to his lesser known love life. Popular South Indian actress Amala Paul is essaying the female lead. Recently, the makers had released Nivin’s character look in the film. He would be undergoing a complete makeover along with training in Kalaripayattu for playing the role of Kochunni.
Bobby and Sanjay scripted the movie after doing extensive research for around two years. The team will be shooting majority of the portions in Sri Lanka.
Some renowned technicians like Bollywood cinematographer Binod Pradhan, sound designer PM Satheesh and Firefly Creative Studio, who handled the VFX in films like Baahubali and Enthiran, are part of this project.
Kayamkulam Kochunni is a big budget venture produced by Gokulam Gopalan of Sri Gokulam Films. They are eyeing to release the movie by March next year.
