Suresh Gopi as Abraham Mathew Mathan in Joshiy’s Paappan
Shoot for Suresh Gopi’s new film ‘Paappan’ with veteran director Joshiy has kick-started today. The star took to his social media handle to share a location still in which he is seen sporting a salt and pepper look. He plays a character named Abraham Mathew Mathan in the film. Sunny Wayne, Nyla Usha, Neeta Pillai and Gokul Suresh Gopi are also essaying major roles in it.

‘Paappan’ marks Suresh Gopi’s reunion with Joshiy after a long gap. They have delivered several memorable films in the past like, ‘Lelam’, ‘Vazhunnor’ and ‘Pathram’. Naturally, expectations are high when they team up after long.
‘Paappan’ is written by RJ Shaan, who had earlier co-scripted ‘C/O Saira Banu’. According to him, it is a family-based film with mystery and suspense elements in it. It is said that Suresh Gopi and Neeta Pillai play a father-daughter duo in the film and they both will be seen as cops. Kaniha, Vijayaraghavan, Asha Sarath, Tini Tom, Shammy Thilakan and many other known actors are part of the cast.
Cinematographer Ajay David Kachappilly, music director Jakes Bejoy and editor Shyam Sasidharan form the core technical team. The film is being produced by David Kachappilly productions.
