Suriya’s next with ‘Irudhi Suttru’ fame Sudha Kongara set to go on floors!
Tamil star Suriya is busy as ever has a handful of films in his kitty. He recently finished the final schedule of Selvaraghavan’s NGK and is has already shooting for his upcoming movie with director KV Anand. Apart from that, Suriya has also committed for projects with Sudha Kongara and Hari. As per latest reports, his movie with Sudha is getting ready to start rolling from August.
Sudha Kongara, a former associate of the ace Mani Ratnam, shot to fame with her movie Irudhi Suttru, which was released in 2016. The movie starring Madhavan and Ritika Singh was a bilingual made in Tamil and Hindi (Saala Khadoos). Sudha also remade the movie in Telugu as Guru with Venkatesh reprising Madhavan’s role. All three versions were critically and commercially successful.
Sudha’s upcoming movie with Suriya is said to be an ambitious one. She has been working one the project for over a year now. Rumour mills suggest that it is shaping up as a period flick on the lines of Aayirathil Oruvan, but the makers are yet to reveal any such detail. Tentatively titled Suriya 38, the movie will have music by GV Prakash. More details regarding its genre and other cast and crew members are expected to be announced very soon. The actor’s own banner 2D Entertainment is funding this movie.
Suriya is currently in London shooting for his KV Anand film. The movie also has Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in a major role along with Suriya. Boman Irani, Allu Sirish, Sayyessha and Samuthirakani are also part of the cast. Suriya is expected to wrap up the ongoing film’s first schedule before joining the sets of Sudha Kongara’s movie.
