Take Off Malayalam movie will be a tribute to Rajesh Pillai
We had earlier reported that the title launch of editor/filmmaker Mahesh Narayan’s debut movie was held in Kochi. The movie titled as Take Off will be a tribute to late director Rajesh Pillai.
Fahadh Faasil, Parvathy Menon, Kunchacko Boban and Asif Ali play the lead roles in the movie. Take Off deals with about the lives of nurses trapped in Iraq during the war.
The title launch event was attended by many film personalities who remembered Rajesh Pillai during the function. Take Off is produced by Anto Joseph and Shebin Becker in association with Rajesh Pillai Films.
The late director has given some wonderful movies like Traffic, Mili and Vettah. Traffic was a path breaking movie devoid of any stars and still went on to become a huge success.
During the event, one of the producers Anto Joseph said that the many friends of the late director were very supportive during the production.
In fact, Kunchako Boban turned down any remuneration for the movie. Though the actor had asked not to divulge it to anyone, Anto Joseph said this because he felt that it will be unthankful from his side. Nivin Pauly himself came forward to publicise the movie.
The event was attended by film personalities like Renji Panicker, B Unnikrishnan, Sidhartha Siva, Gopi Sunder etc. Shoot for Take Off is currently under progress and it is scheduled to release in January next year.
